City of Whitehall Fire Department

The City of Whitehall is an eastern suburb of the City of Columbus with a residential population of 19,200 and encompasses a little over 5.2 square miles. The Whitehall Division of Fire provides fire, rescue, and EMS services for both the City of Whitehall and automatic response districts with the City of Columbus and all of its suburbs. During 2012, the Division of Fire had 6,212 emergency medical runs and 977 fire incidents.


We are seeking a qualified individual for an Assistant Chief. The Assistant Chief of Fire is second in command of the Division of Fire and shall carry out the duties of the Chief in his absence. The Assistant Chief of Fire performs a variety of technical, administrative, and managerial work in planning, organizing, and directing emergency operations in fire suppression and emergency medical services. The Assistant Chief of Fire reports to and works under the general guidance of the Chief of Fire.
