Upcoming Events and Information from the Division of State Fire Marshal
We have a “Feel the Heat for Ohio Public Officials” scheduled for May 3, 2014. We encourage you to contact your local officials and participate in this year’s event. Registration closes April 29, 2014. Your local officials will be confronted with the same challenges firefighters face every day as they work closely with Ohio Fire Academy staff to use the same specialized lifesaving equipment used by your fire departments. MADD Ohio is looking forward to presenting Death Notification Trainings in (7) cities this year. The trainings will be held in Sharonville, Lima, Centerville, North Canton, Walbridge, Chillicothe and Columbus, Ohio. Workshops will be held in Sharonville, Lima, Centerville, North Canton and Walbridge, Ohio in our first round of trainings scheduled from April 28th through May the 2nd, with Officer Paulo Morales of the Cypress Police Department as the facilitator for that week. The second round of trainings will be held on May 28th in Chillicothe and in Columbus, Ohio on June 4th with Officer Brooke Wilson from the Columbus Police Department as the facilitator.
